12 May 2014
As part of an agreement with the Schneider -Electric Foundation to support the Taiyuan Vocational School, two initial training sessions were given by volunteer employees from Rexel’s subsidiaries in China.
The goal of this partnership, which is led locally by the Guangha Foundation and has been awarded by the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP), is to refurbish and equip two laboratories, train underprivileged students in the energy trade and educate 300 students over two years. It has recently been strengthened by Group employee involvement through skills sponsorship. Grace Wang, an employee from Rexel China, thus led an initial two-hour training session for over 60 students. The theme was defining a career path. Then Wu Peng, an employee from the Rexel subsidiary Beijing Zhongheng, led a one-hour training and Q&A session on automation technology for 80 students and 5 teachers.
