The Rexel Foundation has published its second study in the framework of its Knowledge program. Funded by the Foundation, this yearlong study identifies the principal tools for developing community energy efficiency projects in the Andean zone thanks to carbon mechanisms.
The following graphic, end “Voluntary carbon offset,” outlines the study’s primary contributions.
As part of an agreement with the Schneider -Electric Foundation to support the Taiyuan Vocational School, two initial training sessions were given by volunteer employees from Rexel’s subsidiaries in China.
The Rexel Foundation’s goal, making energy efficiency more accessible and affordable for all, is at the crossroads of tremendous social, economic and environmental issues of our century. There is still a lot to be done to make this ambitious challenge come true. That is why the Rexel Foundation wants to foster research in order to broaden understanding and knowledge on energy efficiency while easing its diffusion.
From February to October 2013, the Rexel Foundation teamed up with Ashoka – the largest network of social entrepreneurs worldwide – to develop the IMPACT Energy Efficiency program with the goal of encouraging and professionalizing energy efficiency initiatives that would have viable economic future as well as a significant social impact.
In 2013, we have supported the “Bail pour Tous” Association, which works on social initiatives to provide access to housing for people who are subject to social exclusion.
